about

Tetepare is often called "the last wild island" in the Solomons, and for good reason. Uninhabited and protected by its traditional owners, the Tetepare Descendants' Association, the island's reefs, forests, and seagrass meadows remain intact. Dugongs are said to move through its shallows, gigantic leatherback turtles nest along its beaches, and rare birds fill its canopy.
