Kosi Bay

At South Africa’s northeastern tip, Kosi Bay sits within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This estuarine system is a labyrinth of lakes, mangroves, and channels where turtles, rays, and colorful reef fish thrive. Onshore, traditional fish traps—handed down for generations—dot the shallows, while birdlife fills the wetlands. And the last remaining tuskers, or elephants with 100lb tusks, are safeguarded here in protected parks.
