Nomaruka is home to the Tsingy National Park, a place defined by its jagged limestone pinnacles known as tsingy—a Malagasy word meaning "where one cannot walk barefoot." These razor-sharp stone forests are unlike anything else, creating labyrinths that both shelter wildlife and defy explorers. Among the deciduous forest on the park's edges, elusive lemurs jump from tree to tree, while chameleons change colors on the forest floor.
