in the field

Andi Cross

co-founder & strategist

Andi is an international leader fiercely dedicated to redefining how businesses coexist with the natural world and the communities they directly and indirectly affect. With 15 years of experience helping major corporations scale and nearly a decade in marine and terrestrial conservation, she bridges the gap between corporate ambition and environmental responsibility, vying for a future where people and planet both win. Her work spans industries, guiding businesses, agencies, and venture capital firms to integrate sustainability into the heart of their strategies.

Since 2017, she has been the Strategist in Residence at H/L Ventures—a firm championing historically underserved founders—where she has helped build purpose-driven companies. Previously, as Vice President of Strategic Growth at Huge, Inc., she helped grow the leading digital and design firm to be more effective service-focused leaders. She’s worked with world-renowned brands such as Coca-Cola, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Hyundai, and Norwegian Cruise Lines during her tenure at Ogilvy & Mather and other leading agencies around the globe.

A pivotal moment in her journey came when she combined her corporate expertise with field expeditions to some of the world’s most vulnerable regions. Seeing the disconnect between corporate ESG strategies and the realities faced by communities on the frontlines of climate change, Andi founded a sustainability consulting firm in 2018.

Since then, she’s partnered with over 250 field experts in 33+ countries, guiding 50+ partners toward delivering tangible change.

Andi’s next-gen and powerhouse approach is rooted in lived experience, bringing practicality and positivity to even the heaviest climate challenges. While the scope of climate issues may feel overwhelming, she helps businesses find actionable paths forward without compromising their financial objectives. Her work and insights have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, Forbes, Time Magazine, The Today Show, and more, highlighting her relentless drive to push boundaries in environmental stewardship and corporate sustainability.

A surfer and former lifesaver, Adam’s connection to the ocean runs deep. This passion eventually led him to co-found Edges of Earth, a production studio and expedition team dedicated to amplifying environmental stories that often go unheard.

His role extends beyond content—he also leads operations and logistics, navigating the complex challenges of remote field production. From coordinating multi-country shoots to ensuring sustainable expedition practices, Adam is at the center of making sure each project runs smoothly and delivers meaningful impact.

Adam’s ability to manage large-scale projects stems from his background in business operations and strategy. our values

Our team of ten strategists, designers, digital creators, developers and writers care just as much about business as we do our passions and values ...
0
1
Doing the right thing

Even when it's hard, we follow conviction. That means choosing what’s right over what’s easy, even when it’s uncomfortable. Our decisions are guided by what we’ve seen firsthand, what the data tells us, and what’s needed most for people and planet – not what looks good from the outside.

0
2
Exploring consciously

We go to the edges without leaving a trace. Every expedition we take is anchored in care – for the ecosystems we step into, the people we meet, and the stories we share. We travel light, stay humble, and always aim to give more than we take.

0
3
Surfacing blueprints, not headlines

We’re not chasing headlines – we’re surfacing blueprints. While our work shows up in media, we aren’t traditional reporters. We focus on positive deviance: the outliers solving the climate crisis in unexpected ways. This isn't news, rather case studies that work and can be scaled.

0
4
Letting communities lead

Real change does not necessarily come top-down. It comes from within. We work alongside Indigenous and First Nations leaders, grassroots organizers, scientists, and locals who know the places we go best. Our job is to listen, amplify, and follow their lead, now and always.

0
5
Prioritizing people

Relationships power everything we do. We prioritize our people – those we work with, partner with, and stand beside. We show up with support, share resources when we can, and hold the door open for others. Always generous. Always grounded.

0
6
Designing for reciprocity

Our work doesn’t take – it gives. Whether we’re in the field, behind the lens, or drafting strategies, we lead with respect. We amplify frontline voices, honor lived experience, and co-create in a way that's grounded in trust – not spin or spectacle.

0
7
Choosing progress over perfection

We’re not climate perfect – no one is. But we show up anyway. We offset what we can, stay honest about what we can’t, and keep moving forward. Because it’s not about flawless execution – it’s about momentum, action, and learning as we go. We always aim to be better with the knowledge and insights we are armed with.

0
8
Solving problems with grit

We take on big, messy challenges. And we do so with urgency, creativity, and the right partners. We turn complexity into motion. We don’t wait for the perfect plan. We build what’s needed and move the needle, one bold step at a time.

0
9
Pushing boundaries with purpose

We live on the edge – of ideas, of geography, of what’s been done before. Whether we’re in the wild or inside a system, we push boundaries with purpose. We ask harder questions. We blur the lines. Because at the edge, we believe sits the truth.

0
10
Rebelling with a cause

We speak up. We show up. And we back it with action. We don’t follow rules because they exist – we follow what’s right. We challenge the status quo to protect what we love. Because we’re not here to play it safe. We’re here to build the future we're all waiting for (and all deserve.)

we care just as much about business as we do...

getting salty
CHASING WAVES
searching for seaweed
diving for artifacts
getting lost in the forest
freezing in cold water
endless roadtripping
protecting what we love
waiting for animal encounters
nonstop trekking
